Currently, Michael serves as Development Manager for Toyota North American Headquarters, a new 100 acre corporate campus in Legacy West, Plano, Texas. The project includes two million square feet of headquarter offices for Toyota, Lexus and Scion, along with Toyota Financial Services. The campus features structured parking, laboratory and diagnostics, test track and other technical spaces. Full amenities include dining, wellness, assembly, training and conferencing, all set within a landscaped commons. Scheduled for completion in 2017, this corporate campus will complete on fast track delivery in just 36 months from concept to closure.
Michael has significant experience in development of corporate headquarters featuring mixed use, creating the “live-work-play” environments so critical to employee recruitment and retention. He is serving the development team for KDC’s CityLine campus, home to State Farm’s two million square foot Dallas Hub in the City of Richardson, Texas. CityLine, a national example of transit-oriented development, encompasses over 180 acres of mixed use office, retail, housing, hospitality and public open space.
Duties include administration of government funding sources and TIF District financing, as well as coordination of adjacent development partners for multifamily, retail and hospitality. Michael joined KDC in early 2013 after a 27 year career in Louisiana and across the Gulf South. He brings experience with community involvement in strategic planning, master planning and large-scale project management. His knowledge of public/private partnerships, development, financing and economic development, combined with superior organizational skills, insure realization of project goals. Since 1985, he has been involved in the development of over $1.5 billion in construction.
Alost is a dedicated runner, fly fisherman and art collector, married for thirty-six years and a father of two.
