For Chevron, the most important aspect of its office project in Louisiana was safety. Safety goals permeated the entire project from the outset, so much so that between 8 and 10 percent of total project costs were directed toward achieving or exceeding targeted safety metrics. In addition to the safety achievements, the project received LEED gold certification. One of the innovative design elements that lead to LEED certification was the use of underfloor air distribution throughout the office spaces areas of the building.
