Project Type: Office

For Chevron, the most important aspect of its office project in Louisiana was safety. Safety goals permeated the entire project from the outset, so much so that between 8 and 10 percent of total project costs were directed toward achieving or exceeding targeted safety metrics. Safety training occurred continuously. Another concern was LEED certification. Chevron and KDC set a designation of LEED Silver as their goal for the project. Two days before the ribbon cutting, the project received LEED gold certification. One of the innovative design elements that lead to LEED certification was the use of underfloor air distribution throughout the office spaces areas of the building.
