Executive Assistant / Design & Construction
Linda Chase’s life motto is “bloom where you’re planted.” The phrase is particularly meaningful to her since she’s a military brat who’s lived all over the world.
“Bloom where you’re planted” also applies to Linda’s time at KDC. She began working for the company as a receptionist in the Dallas office in 2011. Shortly thereafter, she realized she wanted to be more involved in KDC’s projects.
“When it comes to your job, companies typically don’t encourage you to be interested in anything but doing that particular job,” Linda notes.
At KDC, if you want to learn something new, they make sure you have the tools and resources you need to be successful in any endeavor you undertake.
Linda took on her current position of Executive Assistant/Design & Construction in 2012. She supports all Design & Construction executives and works on all active construction projects.
“My job responsibilities are constantly evolving, depending on the projects we have going on and, of course, keeping up with the always-changing technology tools.” Linda says.
While Linda enjoys the duties associated with being an executive assistant, it’s the people she works with that really make a difference. “They’re all very inspiring,” she says. “They encourage me to stretch and to grow and allow me to flourish.”
Prior to joining KDC, Linda worked as a software consultant for various technology companies including IBM and 10 years with HP. She has more than 30 years of overall experience.
She has three adult sons, two of which are members of the military. She also has one granddaughter.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys gardening, reading, and being active outdoors. She’s an avid skier, having learned the skill when she was a teenager living in Germany. She takes a ski trip with friends every year, and so far, she’s skied trails in Austria, Switzerland, California, Colorado and Utah.
