Mark Van Kirk is President of Compatriot Capital, a Dallas-based real estate investment firm with interests in companies specializing in corporate office development, multi-family development and apartment management, in the Southeast, Southwest and Midwest areas of the United States. Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Mark was a vice president and partner in E2M Partners, a private real estate equity fund manager. Previously, he was a partner in the Dallas office of the law firm Baker Botts L.L.P., an international law firm of about 700 attorneys. Mark is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University. He obtained a law degree from The University of Chicago School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1982.
