Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce Honors Mustang Legacy Recipient Steve Van Amburgh

Irving, TEXAS – The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual meeting on October 24th at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. During the annual program, the highly coveted Mustang Legacy award was given out, recognizing an organization, or an individual, that exemplifies the spirit of free enterprise and excellence in civic and community engagement.

This year’s recipient is Steve Van Amburgh, Chief Executive Officer of KDC. Steve was selected for this honor for his success and dedication to economic development and work in the Irving-Las Colinas community. Under his leadership, KDC has completed more than 140 corporate build-to-suit office and industrial projects totaling more than 33 million square feet. Of that, 4.2 million square feet was developed right here in Irving-Las Colinas. These projects included Citigroup’s campus, Epsilon, Fluor Corporation, Nokia, Siemens, and now Pioneer Natural Resources’ new global headquarters at Hidden Ridge.

“Through Steve’s visionary leadership, we’ve seen integrated work, live, walk, and play developments, exactly what our community and its residents have been asking for,” said Beth Bowman, President & CEO of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber and the Irving Economic Development Partnership. “We’re fortunate to have an advocate like Steve to lead thoughtful and innovative developments that will make Irving-Las Colinas a community for the future.”
