Tracey Hatcher and Heidi Swygert bring 30 years collective experience to development projects

ATLANTA – (Nov. 11, 2015) – KDC, one of America’s leading commercial real estate development and investment companies, has expanded its Atlanta operations by hiring Tracey Hatcher as project manager and Heidi Swygert as construction administrator.

“A large scale development project such as Park Center requires an experienced and dedicated team that understands the long-term vision and goals of our client, State Farm,” said Larry Wilson, division president - KDC Southeast. “We are thrilled to have their expertise and welcome them as part of our Atlanta-based team.”

Tracey Hatcher brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate strategic planning, project design and execution to her role as project manager, where she leads tenant improvement and retail design efforts for KDC’s southeast construction projects. Prior to joining KDC, Hatcher was vice president-corporate workplace senior project manager with Bank of America/Merrill Lynch in Jacksonville, Florida. She also has extensive experience with interior design and project development/execution with notable firms such as HOK, Heery International and The Coca-Cola Company. Hatcher holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from The Atlanta College of Art.

With over 10 years of expertise in transactional real estate, Heidi Swygert works with KDC’s southeast team as construction administrator and assists project managers with communication between the team and consultants. Prior to joining KDC, Swygert coordinated project closings at Campbell & Brannon, LLC Attorneys at Law, managing multiple accounts. She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance with an emphasis in real estate from Georgia Southern University.

In June 2014, KDC broke ground on the Park Center development, a transit-oriented project on 17 acres in Dunwoody, Georgia. The first office building, a 602,000-square-foot tower that will be occupied by State Farm, is under construction on a nearly four-acre site at Hammond Drive and Perimeter Center Parkway. The 21-story building will be situated on a seven-level parking structure with ground floor retail. The Class A building will have a connection to the Dunwoody MARTA station. It is scheduled for completion in late 2016, and State Farm plans to add additional buildings in the coming years.

KDC’s Dunwoody development will include up to 2.4 million square feet of office space and 100,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space. KDC plans to achieve LEED Silver certification for the project.

KDC’s experience in Atlanta also includes Intellicenter-Atlanta, located at 2530 Sever Road in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The 150,000-square-foot building is LEED Silver Certified and occupied by the University of Georgia’s Gwinnett campus, Liberty Mutual, Airgas, Inc. and ST Microelectronics.

KDC has completed more than 127 corporate build-to-suit office and industrial projects totaling in excess of 27 million square feet. Clients include Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Citigroup, FedEx, Fluor Corp., Intuit, Invesco, Nokia, Prudential, Omnicom, Toyota and other leading corporations.
