RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (May 3, 2018) – KDC, one of America’s leading commercial real estate and investment firms, broke ground on the Credit Suisse Raleigh campus expansion project. Renovation of the on-site existing building will begin once the new building is complete.

The new regional office building, located at 6933 Louis Stephens Drive, is adjacent to the existing Credit Suisse office building developed by KDC in 2007. The new 205,000-square-foot, four-story building is on the corner of Louis Stephens Drive and Kit Creek Road in Research Triangle Park.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to come full circle from developing the Credit Suisse Center of Excellence ten years ago to developing the new office building that will enable the company to retain and recruit top talent going forward,” said Larry Wilson, KDC division president.

The new Credit Suisse building will include all the modern amenities today’s workforce expects. On the 62-acre site, employees will enjoy natural landscaping in a variety of outdoor spaces designed for collaboration and recreation. The completed project will feature a new food service cafeteria with Grab & Go Stations, IT cafés, a technologically advanced conference center, pedestrian trails and a variety of outdoor amenities. The new building and the renovation project will embrace Credit Suisse’s Global Workforce Guidelines for smart working and global smart building strategy. Every aspect of the project expresses the company’s commitment to quality and sustainable goals.

Improvements will also be made to the site, with new entrance and exit points, signage and wayfinding, and traffic safety logistics. A pedestrian bridge will connect the buildings for safe and easy access.

Construction on the new Credit Suisse building begins immediately with an expected completion of June 2019. Approximately 1,700 employees, who are currently housed in various locations in the Raleigh area, will occupy the new office building. KDC plans to seek LEED certification for the project.

Renovation of the on-site existing building at 7033 Louis Stephens Drive will begin in 2019, once the new building is complete. More than 3,000 Credit Suisse employees will occupy the sustainable campus after the new building and the renovation of the existing building are complete.

Gensler is the project architect and Brasfield & Gorrie is the shell and core general contractor. Ballentine is the civil engineer and Crenshaw is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer.
