01/19/25 | Press Release

FARMERS BRANCH, TX—KDC Cares, the pro bono arm of commercial real estate developer KDC, has completed the renovation of Envision Dallas’ new headquarters. KDC joined forces with general contractor Eby Construction and architect SPT Architecture to work with Envision Dallas on upgrading the former 210,000-square-foot industrial/flex facility at 1801 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch, TX.

Envision Dallas has been headquartered in a 30,000-square-foot facility at 4306 Capital Ave. in Dallas since 2020 when the former Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind was rebranded as Envision Dallas. Thanks to its new headquarters, Envision Dallas can provide increased support and services to visually impaired North Texans.

“This expansion represents a powerful investment in the future of North Texas, creating 100 new job opportunities for people with vision loss and equipping us to serve the community better,” said Michael Monteferrante, President and CEO of Envision Dallas.

The new space offers training, employment and adaptive programs for the visually impaired and blind community. In addition to offices and conference rooms, the campus includes a 100-seat call center, expanded manufacturing space, enhanced rehabilitation and clinical services, and workforce innovation and early childhood development centers.

“The Envision Dallas headquarter renovation is more than just a physical transformation, it is about transforming the lives of those who are blind or visually impaired,” said KDC’s Steve Van Amburgh. “We are honored to have partnered with Envision Dallas to create a space that provides opportunities and a brighter future for those coming through the door.”
