MCKINNEY, Texas (June 11, 2019) - - - KDC has completed construction on Independent Bank Group’s new corporate headquarters at the McKinney Corporate Center, Craig Ranch. The 165,000 square-foot, six-story headquarters consolidates more than 400 employees previously dispersed across the region.

The new headquarters is situated on a 10.4-acre parcel of land at State Highway 121 and Grand Ranch Parkway at the entrance of the McKinney Corporate Center Craig Ranch. KDC commenced construction on the headquarters on January 17, 2018.

“Independent Bank has been a major financial institution in McKinney, and the company wanted to remain in this dynamic community for years to come,” said KDC CEO Steve Van Amburgh. “Their new headquarters sets the path for the bank’s long-term growth and will become a distinctive symbol of McKinney’s strong business climate.”

Designed by the Workplace studio at SmithGroup’s Dallas office, the contemporary Class A office building visually embodies the bank’s longstanding commitment to the community and establishes a dramatic presence for Independent Bank along the Sam Rayburn Tollway.

The facility is targeting LEED Silver certification and was delivered in partnership with SmithGroup, Avison Young and Rogers-O’Brien Construction.
