KDC COMPLETES PHASE 2 OF RAYTHEON’S HEADQUARTERS IN MCKINNEY

11/20/24 | Press Release

MCKINNEY, Texas – KDC has completed Phase II of Raytheon Technologies (RTX) manufacturing headquarters, located at 2501 W University Dr. in McKinney.

Phase II is comprised of a 188,000-square-foot office tower and a 270,000-quare-foot manufacturing space. The office tower exterior features ribbon glass and ACM panels with brick accents, while the manufacturing building includes tiltwall panels with skylight ribbon windows.

The new facility supports Raytheon’s real estate modernization and consolidation efforts. The larger facility also enables Raytheon to develop, build, test and deliver more advanced technology while generating 700 jobs.

Raytheon’s Phase II headquarters was designed by Corgan (architect) with Brasfield and Gorrie as the General Contractor.

This is KDC and Raytheon’s second project in McKinney for the defense and aerospace technology company. In 2019, KDC broke ground on the 200,000-square-foot facility to serve as Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems headquarters, which was completed in 2021.

“North Texas continues to be a top destination for office campuses and we are proud to partner once again with Raytheon to expand their headquarters,” said KDC President Eric Hage. “The new facility allows Raytheon to remain a leader in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance work, a vital industry for the continued safety of America and many countries.”

This is the third build-to-suit project KDC has developed for RTX in North Texas. In addition to the McKinney headquarters, KDC developed a 489,000-square-foot office complex for Raytheon in 2015 at CityLine in Richardson, Texas.
