Travis Parker

Vice President / Design & Construction

  • 19 years of experience
  • 7 years at KDC

A Post-It is stuck to Travis Parker’s computer monitor. And written on that tiny scrap of yellow paper in black ink: “How can I help you?”

That simple question is Travis’s personal motto. It guides him, both personally and professionally, and in his opinion, it also differentiates him from other project managers.

With over 20 years of experience in the development industry, Travis joined KDC in 2017. Prior to that, he worked for a couple of Dallas-based general contractors and several prominent commercial real estate development firms that specialized in office, retail, and industrial property.

I always try to think about things from other people’s perspectives so I can understand what problems they face, what they need most, and how I can help.

Travis says KDC is the perfect place for him. “Customer-oriented is a buzz words that everyone uses, but here at KDC, it really means something,” he notes.

At KDC, Travis currently serves as a design build project lead/project manager. He’s responsible for facilitating and coordinating communication with the owner and between the design team, general contractor, consultants, and public/government entities.

Outside of work, Travis is active in his church, serving as a board trustee, youth ministry chaperone and usher for Sun Creek United Methodist Church. He also volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America. He and his son are both Eagle Scouts, and Travis says his involvement in the organization cultivated his need to help and serve others and helped him develop the leadership skills he employs in his professional life. Travis also enjoys spending time with family and anything outdoors such as camping, hunting, golf, skiing, etc.

Travis and his wife, Christy, have three children: a set of fraternal twin daughters in their senior year of high school and a son who graduated from Texas Tech University.
