KDC HOSTS KEY CEREMONY TO CELEBRATE THE END OF CONSTRUCTION ON RAYTHEON’S NEW STATE-OF-THE ART OFFICE COMPLEX AT CITYLINE
Project was completed on time and on budget despite record rainfall this spring
RICHARDSON, Texas – (Nov. 5, 2015) – KDC, a leading developer in Texas, hosted a key ceremony to symbolically mark the end of construction on Raytheon Company’s (NYSE: RTN) new 489,000-square-foot office complex at the developer’s 186-acre mixed-use CityLine project in Richardson, Texas.
Construction on the new facility, located at 1717 East CityLine Drive on the southwest corner of President George Bush Turnpike and Wyndham Lane, started in June 2014. The lead project team, comprised of Adolfson & Peterson Construction, HKS Architects, Raytheon and KDC, managed to complete the corporate campus on time and on budget, despite record rainfall in the spring.
“We are thrilled to hand over a symbolic key and welcome Raytheon to its new office complex, a one-of-a-kind space for its global technology employees and customers,” said KDC’s CEO Steve Van Amburgh. “We want to thank Raytheon, The City of Richardson, along with the dedicated KDC development team, contractors and vendors that got us across the finish line.”
Raytheon’s new complex includes three campus-style buildings that will house 1,700 employees. Raytheon will begin moving into the new facility this month.
