FRISCO, Texas (February 24, 2016) --- KDC, one of America’s leading commercial real estate development and investment firms, and Patronus Data Centers announced today an agreement to market and develop 35-acres in Frisco for build-to-suit data centers.

“The Patronus site is a unique data center location with close proximity to robust corporate growth, abundant electrical power and rich fiber networks,” said Ab Atkins, senior vice president-partner, KDC. “The DFW data center market enjoys some of the strongest demand in the country. Data center sites such as this, with the necessary critical infrastructure already in place, are difficult to find.”

Patronus purchased the 35-acre site, located just north of Main Street between the Dallas North Tollway and Legacy Drive, in July 2014. The company was attracted to the location because of an adjacent 200 megawatt Co-Serve substation.

In addition to the superb location and access to power and fiber networks, the high-profile site is situated in the path of growth and can contain up to 500,000 square feet of buildable data center space. It sits just north of the Dallas Cowboys' new headquarters and training facility and the KDC-developed projects for Toyota, Fed Ex and Liberty Mutual.

KDC entered the data center market in 2007 and has since completed 15 build-to-suit data center developments for enterprise and wholesale colocation customers in the Texas, Virginia and Kansas data center markets.
