When Fluor Corporation was relocating from California to Texas, the engineering giant needed a new headquarters, and it needed them fast. They partnered with KDC to make that happen, and together they finished the new 136,000-square-foot facility in just eight months. KDC managed all aspects of design and construction with a senior-level project manager on site. Fluor also had a representative on site at all times, as well as a senior employee authorized to make decisions. Manpower-loaded schedules were used to monitor the progress of all subcontractors and staffing levels to ensure there was no slippage in the project schedule.
