KDC continues to build an impressive company roster with the addition of four talented commercial real estate professionals. Chad Hedlund, Jeremy Hunt, Phillip McDavid and Robert Nickerson Jr., AIA, have joined KDC and bring an impressive list of achievements with them.
Chad Hedlund, a former KDC intern, joins the company as new development associate where he’s responsible for analyzing the financials and economics of real estate deals. As a former collegiate football player, Hedlund applies the lessons he learned on the field to the competitive dynamic of his new position. Hedlund previously worked for Duff & Phelps, a commercial real estate valuation firm, where he discovered his interest in the field and decided to pursue an advanced degree in real estate.
KDC’s new senior project manager of design and construction, Jeremy Hunt, collaborates with the company’s design team, general contractors, and clients to develop build-to-suit projects. Although there are many aspects of his position, Hunt particularly enjoys the problem solving, team building and client relations aspects the most. Hunt joined KDC following his position with Hage Construction where he served as a senior project manager, overseeing the operational startup and execution of projects from start to finish.
Phillip McDavid enters KDC as a design and construction project manager where he interfaces with clients and coordinates project needs with general contractors and design firms. Born in Russia, McDavid always thought he’d pursue a career in architecture but soon realized his interests lay in construction after moving to the U.S. Upon graduating from the University of North Texas with a Construction Engineering degree, McDavid joined Austin Commercial and worked on some of the most prominent DFW projects, including Toyota’s North America headquarters. He then joined Hage Construction where he was responsible for managing day-to-day operations while maintaining stakeholder communications.
Robert Nickerson Jr., AIA, now serves as KDC’s vice president of the design and construction group. Nickerson has the unique perspective and ability to think through the toughest construction projects, because of his 20+ years of experience as an architect and builder. Nickerson’s role requires him to be involved in both architecture and general contracting, as he leads build-to-suit projects for large corporate clients. Before joining KDC, Nickerson worked as the director of capital improvement for UT Southwestern Medical Center where he developed $1.2 billion in projects.
Please join us in welcoming these wonderful individuals to KDC!
