Kurt Petersen is KDC’s Vice President/Design & Construction.

He is responsible for the planning and execution of all KDC’s design-build projects and for providing strategic direction and guidance to the company’s team of internal design and construction experts. As part of his duties, Petersen oversees project scheduling, budgeting and administrative paperwork while ensuring that all KDC jobs comply with federal, state and local agencies.

Before joining KDC in 2005, Petersen spent more than 20 years with Dalmac Construction Co. He handled multiple commercial construction projects in that role, including office buildings, shopping centers and medical facilities. Petersen came to KDC’s notice while serving as a project manager for Overton Park Plaza in Fort Worth. KDC, developer of the mixed-use project on Fort Worth’s near southwest side, invited Petersen to join the KDC team.

Born and raised in Kansas, Petersen earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction from Kansas State University. He is a LEED-accredited professional with a knowledge base in sustainable construction.

Petersen lives in Dallas. He is married with two adult sons.
