Both restaurants created by James Beard Featured Chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin

RICHARDSON, Texas – (April 30, 2015) – KDC, one of America’s leading commercial real estate development and investment firms, today announced that noted chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin will open two restaurants, Kin Kin Urban Thai and Bite City Grill at CityLine, the company’s 186-acre mixed-use project in Richardson, Texas.

“One of the goals for CityLine is to bring in a variety of dining options to meet the needs of a large and diverse workforce and hundreds of residents,” said KDC Vice President, Colin Fitzgibbons. “Under the creative leadership of Chef Eddy, both Kin Kin and Bite City Grill will provide great food with a bit of global flair.”

Marrying traditional family recipes from Chef Eddy’s homeland of Thailand, along with his formal culinary skills, Kin Kin offers Thai dishes with an innovative twist. Inspired by the urban vibe of Thai culture, guests will experience favorites such as Pad Thai or Tom Kha Soup alongside unique items such as a Thai Burger or Thai Scotch Egg. The menu is paired with innovative libations from the Asian-inspired liquid kitchen. This will be the fourth North Texas location for Kin Kin.

CityLine will be the second location for Bite City Grill, which offers New American cuisine with a global influence. The first location is at Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth. The menu is anchored with a selection of steakhouse inspired favorites including perfectly wood grilled filet and strip alongside seafood specialties and innovative sides. Additionally, guests enjoy the flavorful brunch and happy hour selections.

Thretipthuangsin, who first rose to North Texas fame when opening Pakpao, was inspired to open the new restaurants because of the innovative development CityLine offers.

The 3,634-square foot Kin Kin location is scheduled to open in the summer of 2015. It will be located in the base of Three CityLine at 1201 State Street. Bite City Grill’s 5,200-square foot location is scheduled to open in January 2016. It will be located in the ground floor of “Lot A”, a 532-unit apartment building developed by JLB, across the street from Jasper’s, on the southwest corner of State Street and Plano Road.
