As Human Resources Manager, GeeGee Hammel handles all activities and tasks related to successfully recruiting, hiring and retaining KDC’s highly skilled talent.

She develops, implements, and maintains systems to manage staff benefits, performance reviews and payroll while ensuring seamless onboarding of new employees. Her duties also include compliance with state and federal laws, filing required paperwork and forms and partnering with KDC’s executive staff to ensure that human resources goals align with the company’s growth direction.

Before joining KDC in April 2024, Hammel was CFO with Hage Construction. She helped launch the company by implementing well-designed accounting and human resources systems that guaranteed efficient payroll functions, benefits monitoring and financial reporting. She has had executive positions with Austin Commercial, Balfour Beatty Construction, Centex Homes and Highland Park United Methodist Church.

Hammel earned her business economics and accounting undergraduate degree from the University of California-Santa Barbara and is married with two daughters.
